Augmented reality icons let you tell everyone you know that you have real estate in the virtual world as well. Augmented Reality (AR) is going to be the next frontier of apps and advertising, since it is location based and can be used for games and advertising, aside from its real-world uses for travelers and seekers of arcane information. AR Icons are still in their infancy, but at some point you can expect them to be as ubiquitous as logos for Facebook and Twitter. Better yet, you will see them in magazines, on walls, or in other ads in order to let people know that there is more information residing in the virtual dimension beyond that which is known to man (and women and children and all those other folks.
